Introduction to our webinar software

BigMarker is the webinar platform we use to host our online webinar sessions. The platform is browser-based, meaning you don’t have to download any software to be able to use it. 


Tip: The platform works best on the most up-to-date version of Google Chrome. Also, if you have a strict IT policy, we can check to see if any Firewall blocks your access to the platform. 


Logging in as a speaker

  1. You will get your own individual login link for BigMarker sent out to you via email. They will also be in the webinar calendar invite that gets sent out from the UNLEASH team. 
  2. You can use your login link at any time before the session to check your camera, mic, and network settings and double-check your organization doesn’t have any firewalls that restrict you from using BigMarker.
  3. Virtual Backgrounds: You can upload your own virtual background, or pick from a handful of pre-loaded ones. When you click on your login link, you can check your camera, and mic and add a virtual background by clicking the ‘+’ to add your own. Presenting and Using our Software

  1. When you click into the webinar room, you’ll see the chat bar on the right. There are two main tabs; ‘Public’ which is where you’ll be able to see all messages from attendees and panelists. The ‘Private’ tab is just for presenters only, so if you have any tech issues, you can put messages in there so they aren’t visible to the audience. The UNLEASH moderator will monitor the Q&A, poll, and handouts tab so you don’t need to worry about them whilst presenting.
  2.  The Service Delivery Manager will be on the back-end to help with any technical aspects such as screen sharing, presenting slides or showing a video. If you’re curious, it’s an easy process of how to upload slides or videos and you can see it here: 


Functionality details

  • Screen Share: Share your screen with a click of a button! Perfect for slide sharing and showing research.
  • Play Videos: Send your videos to the Service Delivery Manager to pre-upload to BigMarker and these can play at any time throughout your session. You can change between presenting slides and playing a video with a click of a button.
  • Present Files: This is the easiest way of presenting slides if you don’t want to share your screen. Simply send any slide decks to the Service Delivery Manager a week before your live session so we can pre-upload them.
  • Whiteboard: You can draw on a blank whiteboard or annotate your slides as you talk. 
  • Live Chat: Engage with the audience and see the live chat as your session unfolds. Attendees can ask questions and get stuck into the webinar so it’s a great space for collaborative thinking and sharing thoughts/feedback. 
  • Q&A: There is a specific tab for people to ask questions to the panelists. This is monitored by the UNLEASH moderator.
  • Polls: Increase your audience engagement by including poll questions in your session. See the results live as they come in and use them as additional talking points to better understand your audience. 
  • Handouts: A great incentive to offer any attendees who have turned up live to the webinar. Whether it’s exclusive access to a report or extra resources around the topic you’re covering, handouts are a great way to boost brand awareness and engagement. You get a breakdown after the session of who has downloaded the handouts you have made available. 
  • Recording: All of our webinars are recorded, edited, and uploaded to unleash.ai and sit alongside an editorial write-up of the session.
